With their open green areas, beautiful vegetation and a water feature, the gallery’s gardens add to your enjoyment of a gallery visit.

The garden area is easily accessible via a number of routes, with the main access from the new stairs along the bastion walls on the gardens’ southern edge. From the bastion’s various levels, visitors have unique views of the Church of St Barbara from fresh vantage points.

An important addition to the gardens is the Open-air GASK project, through which the gallery presents sculptures or installations by artists from the permanent exhibitions or whose works feature in current or upcoming exhibitions.

The GASK gardens are also available for commercial purposes. The gardens can be rented for your event either on their own or along with the Staff House. They are the perfect venue for large events such as concerts or film screenings.
