Věra Pinnoy earned her degree in museology from Masaryk University’s Faculty of Arts in Brno in 2020. During her studies, she focused intensively on the subject of the social mission and role of cultural institutions, in particular the inclusion of disadvantaged visitor groups and providing equal access to culture.

In 2011, she joined the staff of GASK’s Learning Centre, where in 2013–2016 she applied her experience from the non-profit sector and her educational background in social work to realising the community-based Art of Connecting project, and also organised a project for people with Alzheimer’s that was inspired by the New York Museum of Modern Art’s Meet Me at MoMA programme.

Since 2016, her main task at GASK has been to improve the gallery’s care for and administration of it collections.
