BETWEEN CENTURIES – Kutná Hora in dialogue with the game World of Kingdom Come: Deliverance

From 21st of June, the Gallery of Central Bohemian Region in Kutná Hora invites visitors to the attic space of the Jesuit College, where history meets the modern digital world. The exhibition BETWEEN CENTURIES – Kutná Hora in dialogue with the game World of Kingdom Come: Deliverance connects the real and virtual images of the town, which was one of the most important centres of the Bohemian kingdom in the Middle Ages.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the award-winning historical RPG video game from Czech studio Warhorse, is known for its extraordinary authenticity, attention to detail and faithful rendering of medieval reality. Kutná Hora is one of the distinctive locations that the creators have painstakingly reconstructed. The exhibition presents a comparison between the game scenes and contemporary photographs depicting the same monuments, streets and corners. Visitors can thus literally see how the digital Kutná Hora was inspired by the real one – and how the two temporal planes mirror each other.
As Kutná Hora marks 30 years since its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List, GASK is opening an exhibition that connects the past, the present and the virtual world.
Price: the exhibition will be part of the ticket to the permanent exhibition Through the Labyrinth (Adults – 120 CZK, children 6 to 15 years, seniors over 65 years, disabled, students up to 26 years – 60 CZK, children under 6 years, disabled/P and pedagogical accompaniment of school groups free of charge)
