The Projectroom gallery presents an intergenerational dialogue between the creator of monumental sculptural objects Richard Kočí (1954) and Pavel Trnka (1981), who works in charcoal and ink, supplemented by experiments with ash, soot, rust and coloured clay. Both artists work with industrial constructions and fragments of architecture, and both capture the energy fields of urban scenes and experiment with materials in different media. Richard Kočí has created large-scale drawn skeletons in space whose multiple layers become visible as with changes in distance and point of view, while Pavel Trnka exhibits his illusory 3D spaces on paper. The exhibited works can thus be seen through and through as they emerge from the darkness into light and as we listen to the vibrations of their echoes.
