The exhibition, titled Dialogues, presents works by Alex Gough, Ross Taylor, Caroline Walker, Hugh Wilson and Flora Yukhnovich, who bring to the Jesuit College space a diversity of technique and a heterogeneity of materials in the format of the “classic” hanging image. Imagination in expression, perception from various points of view, and yet dealing with a fundamental timeless question. Dealing with people, society and leading a dialogue with history that serves not only as a starting point but is also confronted with contemporary influences. Mythology, religion, pop culture and the ordinariness of everyday life is reflected in the authors’ works. Here we find references to computer games, animated family films, the deepest personal tensions, the atmosphere of the Nordic landscape, scenes from hotel rooms, as well as the free association of pure thought.
