Coming soon! Uncensored: Polish Independent Art of the 1980s

Uncensored was first shown last year at Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, and the exhibition at GASK is the only repeat showing of this major project.
Visitors will discover the unique character of the independent exhibition movement active in Poland between 1981 and 1989 as part of the activities of the Committee for Independent Culture (Komitet Kultury Niezależnej). GASK will be presenting works by around sixty artists.
The exhibition is a collaborative project involving GASK, Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, Adam Mickiewicz Institute in Warsaw and the Polish Institute in Prague.
We look forward to seeing you at the opening reception at 4pm on Saturday 27th May at GASK!
